Ms. Watnick, Professor and Chair of the Department of Law at Baruch College, Zicklin School of Business, City University of New York, is of counsel to the Law Offices of Donald Watnick. Before teaching full time, she practiced both at an AmLaw 100 law firm and with a premier white collar criminal defense firm in New York City. At those firms, she handled complex matters of litigation, white collar criminal defense matters, and engaged in arbitration and mediation. She also handled various commercial and employment issues and agreements, and advised clients about minimizing risks.
Ms. Watnick is also well published in the areas of environmental law, the regulation of toxic substances and food regulation, and has been teaching, writing and practicing law for over twenty years. She has also appeared regularly at academic and school conferences to speak on a variety of legal matters. She has litigated cases in state and federal courts of New York, and arbitrated before the American Arbitration Association.
Ms. Watnick is a graduate of the Cornell Law School, class of 1988, and holds a B.S. in Accounting from Bucknell University. She has served on the board of her children’s school, has co-chaired many charity events for the benefit of New York City Schools and has served as co-PTA President of her children’s New York City public elementary school.
